Promoting Peace
Today, 42 million people are displaced by armed conflict or persecution. Rotary Peace Fellows train local leaders to prevent and mediate conflict, and support long-term peace building in regions affected by violence.
Mequon · Milwaukee · Wisconsin
A diverse, modern Rotary club for professionals who believe small actions, taken together, change the world. Join us for community service, fellowship, and global impact.
Who We Are
The Rotary Club of Mequon-Milwaukee Afterhours (RCofMMA) was founded specifically to be accommodating of the lifestyles and busy schedules of a new generation of Rotarians interested in community service, charitable pursuits, professional and social networking with fellow members.
Who are Rotarians?
Rotarians are a global network of 1.2+ million volunteer professionals and business leaders dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. We come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world.
Rotary International
Rotary International brings together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and build goodwill and peace in the world. These are the six areas where we focus our energy.
Today, 42 million people are displaced by armed conflict or persecution. Rotary Peace Fellows train local leaders to prevent and mediate conflict, and support long-term peace building in regions affected by violence.
More than 100 million people are pushed into poverty each year because of medical costs. We expand access to low-cost healthcare and lead the global fight to eradicate polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria.
2.5 billion people lack adequate sanitation. Our projects help communities build and maintain sustainable water and sanitation systems while educating future leaders.
Each year, 7 million children under five die from preventable causes. We deliver immunizations, antibiotics, and essential maternal-health training to vulnerable communities.
67 million children have no access to school; 775 million adults are illiterate. We strengthen basic education and literacy, and close the gender gap in education worldwide.
Nearly 1.4 billion working people live on less than $1.25 a day. We invest in community development, entrepreneurship, and decent work — especially for women and young people.
Our Events
From Saturday-morning service projects to dressed-up fundraisers, our calendar is built for people who want to do good and enjoy the journey.
Hands-on community work every 3rd Saturday of the month, 9am–noon — packing meals, beautifying neighborhoods, supporting partner nonprofits.
Every 2nd Thursday, 6–8pm. Rotating venues between Mequon and downtown Milwaukee. Casual fellowship, professional networking, no agenda.
Our flagship Global Fusion · Local Flavor event celebrates Milwaukee’s diversity through food, music, and giving — all proceeds fund community service.
Our Junior Rotarians
We sponsor two youth service clubs that nurture leadership, empathy, and community-mindedness from grade school through high school.
EarlyAct · Ages 10–13
RCofMMA sponsors the EarlyAct club at St. Marcus Lutheran School — a service club for grade-school students, currently 12 members strong. EarlyAct opens young minds to the dignity and worth of each individual, building respect and life-long care for the community.
Through character-building projects, members learn to identify needs and lead initiatives that benefit their school, neighborhood, and the world.
